Playing Career: Non league football

Enhanced CRB certified
FA Level 1, studying FA Level 2

Since Stuart was able to kick a football he has always been in love with the game. He started playing competitively when he was just 8 years old and winning a couple of medals and trophies in his 1st season fuelled his passion for the game.

As a schoolboy Stuart represented Hampshire and South of England and travelled throughout the country playing many tournaments along the way. During this time he attended two trials at Southampton Football Club and gained valuable experience from this.

Stuart has memories of some excellent coaches inspiring him when he was young and he decided that coaching was something he wanted to do. In 2003 Stuart was involved with a local junior club and started off as their assistant manager. He then passed his FA Level 1 coaching badge in 2005 and subsequently took over the management of the team along with providing coaching support to others within the club. Stuart remained there until 2007 where he then decided to start his own U16s youth side which he took as far as the U18s league, before encouraging several players to step up to the adult leagues.

The experience Stuart has gained in recent years has been invaluable and has helped him with his overall coaching style and technique. He believes football to be about enjoyment and giving young people the opportunity to play the game, develop, and express themselves. He is a great asset to Premier Coaching and our coaching team.
